Tay Road Bridge viewed from the Fife side of the estuary. The bridge was opened in 1966. Building the bridge across the Tay was a major engineering achievement and lives were lost in the process.

Tay Rail Bridge viewed from the Riverside Drive in Dundee . This is the rebuilt bridge as the original collapsed in the well documented Tay Bridge disaster at the end of the 19th century. The old supports can be seen under the bridge. The bridge provides a rail link across the Tay to Edinburgh and London.
